Robert Carroll began learning guitar at the age of 9. Leaning on the blues genre he met his first audience busking at the age of 18 with a Stratocaster, battery powered amp and a shot glass. His time spent in NCAD placed him among Visual Artists and Singer Songwriters alike. Performing around Dublin in an aggressive blues rock band he also worked part time as an event photographer and Stage Manager while working as an artist on School Street.

 

Robert has developed a distinctive, eclectic blues sound with his slide. With a sound comparable to Johnny Winters and Sea Sick Steve, Robert swings from hard screaming solos to slick clean riffs, licks and twists.
