The Smokin' Stage @McNeills

Sat Aug 8th at 4.30pm - FREE

The Woolverstones are an alternative folk/roots duo formed in 2019, rapidly earning recognition on the international folk scene. Their debut single A Song for Harlequins received global airplay and critical acclaim, while their 2022 album Grey Eyed Dandy, produced by Grammy-nominated John Wood, further established their growing reputation. A track from the album was selected as “Track of the Week” by BBC Introducing, and the title song was later featured on Fruits de Mer Records’ 2025 compilation In The Year 2025.

They have performed at major events including the Cambridge Folk Festival and toured extensively across the UK and Europe. Known for their cinematic songwriting and rich vocal harmonies, they have shared stages with artists such as Malcolm Le Maistre (The Incredible String Band) and Leo O’Kelly (Tír na nÓg), and have appeared at some of the most iconic venues on the folk circuit.
